Junta Smedja also functions as a small foundry. We use the lost-wax technique, which means you can get a detailed and precise casting of whatever you want, from jewelry to objects. We offer everything from casting to finishing, so no matter what your project is, we can meet your needs.

 

Our melting furnace has a capacity of 2.8 kg of metal, so even if you have a project that requires a larger casting, we can offer our services. When casting larger objects, we usually use a different casting technique, called sand casting, to produce your desired object.

We cast in silver, bronze, aluminum and pewter. Exceptionally, we also cast in gold, for smaller orders such as wedding rings. 

 

Price example for casting

• 1 casting flask: 800 SEK inc. VAT (excl. material)

• Single ring/object: 400 SEK inc. VAT (excl. material).

• Silver price: 25 SEK/gram incl. VAT.

• If you have your own silver in the form of silver cutlery, old jewelry or similar, it is fine to send it in for casting. We recommend mixing your silver with 50% new silver to ensure the quality. However, this only applies when casting an entire casting flask.
